my current obsession, and I don’t mind calling it that, is finding beauty wherever it may be… why? good question. because sure, there are awful things in this world and a realist like myself can not just simply ignore them… but like a good meal all the ingredients count toward the end product, if you immerse yourself in only one side you are going to have a loss of balance. it is good to seek out the light and beautiful, even if for a minute. Try this… open up whatever maps app your phone (or computer) has… search for parks nearby… you might be surprised… or just find one on your way home from work… find a stream, a pond, an unnamed brook… take a minute to listen, even in the dead of winter… I haven’t posted these pics on my facebook page yet but this is where I was today for under an hour… and guess what, if I panned left you would see houses just a few hundred yards away… Goffle Brook in Hawthorne NJ
